San Francisco

The kids and I spent the day in San Francisco, where it was thirty degrees cooler than it was up here. This included a visit to an Italian pastry shop in North Beach.







Quite a popular place to go. Mmm, cannoli...











And we went to the zoo. They love the children's zoo section with the goats and sheep.

Last day of school

School is officially out for the summer. Needless to say, there was much rejoicing.

Last game of the season

The last AAA Reds game was yesterday evening. Here is Douglas in the stands with Dan.







This was a playoff game, and Owen's team ended up losing to the Nationals.

Owen pitching. He was the starting pitcher and pitched most of 2 innings.





"Good game." The Nationals will go on to play the Brewers tomorrow for the National League championship and then the winner will play the American League champion on Saturday for the city championship.

It was a fun season, and a nice team.
