Too cold?

I picked up Douglas from school yesterday and asked whether he got to go outside at either kindergarten or CDC (after school care). He said no. They have not been going out much this week because it was in the 30s and 40s. I asked, "How come you didn't get to go outside?" and he said, holding up his fingers to make quote marks for the capitalized words, "Because it was 'TOO COLD' to go outside."

Wonder where he got that gesture from.

Considering our friends in Fairbanks said the day care let their kids go out until it was negative 40 I figure at 80 degrees above that it is not too cold to go outside.
