Happy new year!

We went out for our 11th anniversary last night. We had a nice time at Bistro 33 here in Davis, which was refurbished by someone from Sacramento who has a few restaurants there. It is in a building that used to be the City Hall before they built a new one.

Earlier yesterday I went to Berkeley to visit my mother who had foot surgery for a neuroma on Thursday. She is doing all right and recovering.

School and work start again on Tuesday. The kids have been enjoying their time off. It has been cold though so we haven't been able to spend as much time as usual outdoors. We did take a bike ride today, and Owen and Dan are off playing baseball right now with some friends. We have been to the library many many times. Douglas and I just went and got another 25 books or so ... I think that makes about 75 in this week alone.
