So far, so good

Things seem to have gone well at school for Owen for the past few days so I am hoping it was a temporary problem.

The possible-school-closing saga continues and it looks like the school board will likely not make a decision this school year. The task force will be giving their final recommendations to the Board in mid-February, which doesn't really leave enough time for them to make any major decisions considering that kindergarten registration for the following year begins in March. There are a lot of decisions to be made if they decide to open or close anything - such as drawing new boundary lines, etc. So we are doubtful anything will happen for another year.

We got a Xmas card from Dan's cousin, who has 5 kids under the age of 6 and whose husband will be in Iraq for the next 13-14 months. Poor thing.
