We cannot believe the torture bill and throwing away the constitutional provisions for habeas corpus and all the rest of it.
I knew this administration would be bad, but somehow I never imagined they could shred the constitution in broad daylight and be supported for it.
Unbelievable.
I really do not think we are living in a democracy now.

ReplyDeleteAnd now, apparently, Bush has signed a law that makes it legal for the gov't to detain people for 7 days who haven't filled out their census form in 2010.
It sounds like a joke from the Onion, but apparently it is real.
Tough to be a satirist in this day and age.
